Time and time again members seem to be confused about why the open networking portion of the meeting is important. After all the meeting doesn't really start until the president calls the meeting to order does it
Reality is the open networking done at the beginning of every meeting is very valuable for building relationships. If you ignore this part of the meeting you miss out on meeting your fellow members and your visitors. Remember, every single visitor is a potential referral source or a possible prospect.
If your meeting is 7am to 8:30am then you are effectivly late at 7:01am. Open Networking is part of the meeting, don't miss it, or you may miss a valuable part of the meeting.
